Tinkering has always been in my blood, whether it was watching my
grandfather put his dock together with metal coat hangers, watching
my mother repair the dishwasher or having to figure out how to put a
radiator in my first truck.
Whether repairing the fishing camp in Alaska, the stables in Colorado
or my own home, I learned a successful outcome was achieved
with creativity and maximizing all of your resources. I get to create
something beautiful everyday and smile knowing coat hangers and duct
tape work well but a screw gun and screws works much better.
With the support of my wife and two wonderful boys I get to make
my big Irish family proud knowing at least some of what they taught
me rubbed off. The saying “If you love what you do you’ll
never have to work a day in your life” could never be truer.
